The Rotary Club of Brandon's signature and biggest fundraiser of the year, its historical Wild Game Dinner, celebrates its 40th year and is just weeks away. The Friday, March 4th event held at Lupton's Boggy Bottom Ranch from 6:00 - 10:00PM will have over 600 business leaders, hunters, fishermen and regular guys from all around the Greater Tampa area and beyond. Touted as the biggest guys night out in Hillsborough County, this event has a goal of raising over $50,000 for local charities that will impact thousands of children and families in our area. The premise of the event started 40 years ago by some of Brandon's pioneer community leaders was simply a bunch of guys getting together one night a year for fun, fellowship, talking about fishing, hunting, business and raising money for local charities so they could make a difference. Guys from all over the state drive in for this traditional event that has raised over a million dollars over the years!

This year's celebrity guests Jon and Gina Brunson from the Addicted to the Outdoors show will be on hand to sign autographs, take pictures and tell lots of stories about their excursions from all over the world! Raffle tickets for a 50/50 drawing, door prizes and silent auction items along with great wild game from around the country will be on hand as well.

Tickets are $100 for general admission or $150 for the exclusive VIP section which includes a Wild Game Dinner souvenir hat, tumbler, cigar and access to the VIP area. All tickets include all you can eat wild game such as venison, gator, wild boar, quail, pork as well as all the fixin's and an open bar. There are still a few slots open for sponsors - $1,200 for Big Buck and $600 for Wild Boar. Wild Game Chairman, Joe Campoamor, is pumped and ready for this event to be a great one. "Our club has worked very hard to make this a special event for everyone that attends," Campoamor said. "With the Brunson's, the food, great prizes and just the overall energy and atmosphere of the event, it will be the best one ever!"

The Wild Game Dinner's purpose is to raise funds and bring awareness to the great causes for this year's chosen charities. When it's all said and done, the Rotary Club of Brandon will have impacted hundreds if not thousands of children and families after the event that are in need of financial assistance, health care, special needs programs, senior care, food and shelter, much needed developmental programs, outreach and opportunities for success. All proceeds go directly to the following charities:

The Outreach Clinic, Brandon Sports and Aquatic Center, Rotary's Camp Florida, Gulf Ridge Council Boy Scouts' Alafia Canoe and Kayak project, Emergency Care Help Organization (ECHO), Brandon Rotary Club Charity Fund (scholarships), Women's Resource Center of Tampa, Senior Care Group and Family Promise of Greater Brandon.

Local sponsors have rushed to support this event this year, and the Rotary Club is very thankful for their support.
