It was a banner evening for the Rotary Club of Brandon this past Sunday as the new Bloomingdale WalMart (store 941), headed by community leader Peter Peck, distributed a check for $500 to our charity fund. In all WalMart contributed $8,000 to 16 local, deserving charities including some of our own charities including The Outreach Clinic, the Boys Scouts, ECHO and the Brandon Sports and Aquatic Center.
President Chuck Burgess and Secretary Debbie Meegan attended the ceremonies to receive the check on behalf of the club during the soft opening presentation. "We are so grateful and honored to receive these funds for our Rotary Club," Burgess said. "Pete Peck and WalMart have been huge supporters of our Rotary Club and the many local charities that are in need of a helping hand. It is organizations like this and people like Pete that make our community so strong."
The Rotary Club of Brandon gives its thanks to Pete, his entire staff team and the WalMart organization for their support of Rotary here locally! Thanks, Pete!
