The Brandon Rotary Club Charity Fund is excited to release the 2016 application for its Annual Scholarship which awards a $2,000 scholarship to two selected high school seniors whose parents/guardians reside in the Greater Brandon area. All applications must be received to the Charity Fund Committee no later than Friday, April 15th. Eligibility requirements are as follows:
  • Candidate's parents/guardians must be a resident of the Brandon area as defined by the geographic area identified by the area bounded by the Fish Hawk subdivision to the south, Interstate 4 to the north, Turkey Creek Road to teh East and US Highway 301 to the West
  • Individual must be a current graduating high school senior
  • Individual must have a cumulative, minimum unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher (proof provided with application)
  • Individual must provide written documentation listing service hours verified by high school administrator
  • Individual must be accepted to a two or four year accredited college or university (proof provided with application)
The Brandon Rotary Club Charity Fund has awarded tens of thousands of dollars to deserving high school seniors over the past several years and recognizes the best of the best in our area. A committee mainly comprised of the President/Vice President of the Charity Fund Board, the Rotary Club President/Vice President, other Brandon Rotarians, and a school teacher/counselor will review all applications and award two, $2,000 scholarships.
As a reminder, NO incomplete applications will be accepted for consideration and all monies awarded will be paid directly to the Financial Aid Department at the recipient's college or university.
